Andrew Rawnsley, Chief Political Commentator and Associate Editor of The Observer

Andrew Rawnsley is Chief Political Commentator and Associate Editor of The Observer and hosts ITV’s flagship political programme, The Sunday Edition.

Andrew presented the Radio 4 show, The Westminster Hour, securing a series of major newsmaking and agenda-setting scoops. Before that he was presenter of Channel 4’s highly popular, A Week In Politics.

He has won a series of awards, including the prestigious What The Papers Say award as Columnist of the Year, and Journalist of the Year in both the Channel 4 and Public Affairs political awards.

Andrew is the author of the controversial political book, Servants of the People - a Biography of New Labour. His inside account provides an entertaining view and highlights Labour’s inherent problems. He is working on a series for Channel 4 on Tony Blair’s time at Number
10.

Rawnsley is a skilled live presenter, whether moderating conferences or speaking about the political climate in Britain and Europe. Clients include Local Government Association, CIPFA, the Association of Insurance Brokers and the Foreign Press Association.
