LAIOG is a support group for Officer involved in the prevention, detection and investigation of all Fraud committed against Local Authorities.
The group works on both a regional and national basis and covers England and Wales. LAIOG consists of 8 regional groups which hold regular meetings, discussing current issues and share best practice.
LAIOG has its own CPD training scheme, allowing members to demonstrate their ongoing achievements and learning. Our National Training Co-ordinator assists with affordable quality training from approved training providers.
LAIOG’s Aims;
• To promote Professional Standards - Working with investigators, improving skills and knowledge through continuous professional development
• To represent members and campaign on their behalf
• To promote the retention and development of a counter-fraud resource within all local authorities
• To develop a clear link between regional and national executive committees of LAIOG
• Arrange an annual national event for members
