CIPFA annual conference FAQs

How can I register for the conference?

Why is the booking page saying my email has already been registered?

The booking system only allows one email per registration.  If you are booking for several people, please use the delegates email for the first page of the booking process and add your details to the 'cc email' section.

Will I receive a confirmation?

A confirmation email will be sent to the contact email provided on your booking form (the registrants email address).  If you do not receive a confirmation please contact juliette.bond@redactive.co.uk 

Can I be invoiced for my places at the conference?

We can invoice for all bookings but payment must be received before the conference.

Do I have to make my own hotel reservation?

Are there discounts on multiple registrations?

Yes, for groups of 2 or more bookings made at the same time, from the same company.  Please click here to view prices and discounts:

Will speaker presentations be available at the conference?


These will not be provided in delegate packs due to the sheer volume.  Most presentations, where a speaker has given permission, will be available on the website after the conference.
 
When do I need to pay for the conference?

All bookings must be paid for before the conference.

How can I pay for the conference?

You can pay by BACS, credit card or cheque (Please make cheques payable to REDACTIVE EVENTS LIMITED).  Please note payments will show on your statement as REDACTIVE LTD not CIPFA or CIPFA Annual Conference. If raising a purchase order please note that payments must be made to REDACTIVE EVENTS LTD and not to CIPFA.

How many delegates usually attend the conference?

Approximately 750 delegates, exhibitors and sponsors attend the conference over the course of the 3 days.

What should I wear?
 

The dress code is business attire

I have special dietary/ access requests?

Please contact us as soon as possible if you have any special dietary or access needs.  Any requests made at the conference may not be able to be catered for.

When will I receive joining instructions for the conference?

All joining instructions will be sent via email 2 weeks prior to the event.  Information regarding the programme, choice streams, venue and accommodation can be found on this website.

When will I receive my delegate pack and name badge?

You will receive these at the registration desk on the day of the conference.

What are your cancellation and substitution policies?

Your booking is guaranteed on completion of the booking form and is subject to the below Cancellation Policy. Payment must be received prior to the Event and we reserve the right to prevent admittance if payment has not been made. This invoice is payable within 30 days (or prior to the Event if the invoice is dated fewer than 30 days before the Event date). Please make any cheques payable to Redactive Events Ltd.

Cancellation Policy

• 100% refund if cancellation is made by the 10 April 2013
• 50% refund if cancellation is made by the 9 June 2013
• No refund will be given for cancellations made after the 9th of June or for non attendance on the day.

Written notification of intent to cancel must be sent to Redactive Events Limited by recorded delivery.

Substitutions may be made at anytime, free of charge.
CIPFA reserve the right to change the programme at any time.

I can’t attend, but would like a copy of the speakers’ presentations from the conference?

Delegate packs, including conference handbooks, can be purchased after the conference for £75 (+ VAT and P&P).
